The Jacksonville Jaguars produced a statement win coming out of their bye week, beating the Indianapolis Colts 42-7 at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville on Sunday, 1 November 2026.

Jacksonville led 28-0 at half-time and never allowed Indianapolis back into the game, improving to 5-2 while the Colts fell to 2-6 in the AFC South contest.

Lawrence efficient, Tuten explosive

Trevor Lawrence needed only 14 pass attempts to make his mark, completing 10 for 210 yards and three touchdowns to three different targets. With the result decided, Lawrence and several other starters spent much of the fourth quarter on the sideline.

Bhayshul Tuten was Jacksonville’s most dangerous weapon. The second-year back rushed 16 times for 104 yards and a touchdown, a career high on the ground, and added two catches for 55 yards and a second touchdown. His 159 scrimmage yards were the most by a Jaguar since 2023.

Jacksonville ran for 183 yards as a team and outgained Indianapolis 366-243. Chris Rodriguez Jr. also scored on the ground as the Jaguars built a 35-0 lead in the second half.

Defence adds a touchdown of its own

Jacksonville’s defence scored as many touchdowns as the Colts’ offence. Safety Rayuan Lane III returned an interception 92 yards for a touchdown, the second-longest pick-six in Jaguars history, extinguishing a brief moment of Indianapolis momentum late in the first half.

Indianapolis had entered the game after losing three in a row and trading away two established players in the days before the match. Jacksonville, fresh from its bye, took control with a 98-yard touchdown drive on its first possession and did not look back.

A growing home fortress

The win extended Jacksonville’s run of dominance at home. The Jaguars have now won seven straight regular-season games in Jacksonville, each by at least 17 points, and have outscored opponents 271-75 across their last seven games in the city.

It was also Jacksonville’s first divisional win of the season, an important step in the AFC South after a narrow defeat to a divisional rival before the bye.

Jacksonville did suffer injuries during the game, with a knee injury to defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton reported as the most concerning, ahead of a short week.

What it means

At 5-2, Jacksonville has the look of a team finding its rhythm after the bye: an efficient quarterback, a running game that can control a match, and a defence capable of turning a game with one play. Indianapolis, at 2-6, faces a much harder road after a defeat that exposed how far it has slipped since its early-season form.

Jacksonville next faces a short-week test on Thursday night football. Indianapolis must regroup quickly if it is to avoid its season slipping further away.
