Emadan News aims to publish accurate news, explained clearly. When we get something wrong, we correct it as quickly and transparently as we can. This page explains how.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with:
- the link to the article,
- the statement you believe is wrong, and
- if you have it, a source showing the correct information.
We aim to review every correction request within two working days.
What we correct
We correct factual errors, including names, dates, figures, quotations, locations and misidentified people or organisations in text or photographs. We also fix headlines that misrepresent the article, and we update developing stories when confirmed facts replace earlier reports.
How corrections are shown
- Significant corrections: a short correction note is added to the article, stating what was changed and when, and the article text is amended.
- Minor fixes (typographical errors, formatting) that do not change the meaning may be made without a note.
- Updated stories: where a story develops rather than being wrong, the article is updated and the update is reflected in the text so readers can see what changed.
Clarifications
If an article is factually correct but could reasonably mislead readers, we may add a clarification note instead of a correction.
Removal requests
We do not remove accurate published material on request. If you believe an article contains a factual error, defamatory material or private personal information, contact us at the address above and we will review it under this policy.
Our commitment
A correction is never hidden. Correcting the record is part of reporting the news, and we treat every correction request in good faith.
