Emadan News (emadan.store) is an independent digital news publication. Our job is to present complex world events and current affairs in plain, clear English, so readers can understand what happened, why it matters and what is still unknown — quickly and without jargon.
This page explains how we choose, produce and stand behind our journalism.
What we publish
We publish breaking news and short explainers covering world affairs, politics, economics, business, technology, science and sport. Our readers are mainly in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and we select and explain stories with their interests in mind.
How we source our stories
- We prefer primary sources: official statements, government and regulator publications, court documents, company filings and announcements, and direct statements from the people or organisations involved.
- For major claims, we look for confirmation from at least one additional independent source before publishing.
- Where a story comes from a news agency or another publisher’s reporting, we say so in the article.
- Figures, dates and quotations are checked against the source they came from. If a number cannot be verified, we do not publish it as fact.
Verification before publication
Every article passes an editorial check before it goes live: the headline must match what the article actually says, key facts must trace back to a named source, and anything uncertain is either held back, clearly labelled as reported or unconfirmed, or published only when a development makes it verifiable.
Images
Photographs published with our articles are licensed or free-to-use images, credited where required. Generic or archive photographs are captioned as file photos and are never presented as pictures of the specific event being reported.
Headlines and accuracy
Headlines are written to reflect the content of the article, not to exaggerate it. If a developing story changes, we update the article rather than leaving outdated claims in place, and significant updates follow our Corrections Policy.
Independence
- Editorial decisions are made by Emadan News alone. No advertiser, sponsor or outside organisation decides what we publish or how a story is written.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for news coverage.
- Any sponsored or paid material, if ever published, will be clearly labelled as such.
Use of technology
We use digital and AI-assisted tools in research and production, under human editorial oversight. Responsibility for everything we publish rests with our editors, not with any tool.
Who is responsible
Emadan News is founded and edited by Danish Mumtaz. Questions about our editorial standards can be sent to [email protected].
Corrections
Mistakes happen in fast-moving news. When they do, we correct them openly — see our Corrections Policy (https://emadan.store/corrections-policy/) for how to report an error and how we handle it.
