Pennsylvania billionaire Jeff Yass and his wife Janine have given $30 million in total to V-PAC: Victors, Not Victims, the super PAC backing Vivek Ramaswamy for governor of Ohio, according to a Washington Post donor tracker reported on 30 October.
That makes them by far the biggest funders of Ramaswamy’s outside allies, days before Ohio votes on 3 November.

A cumulative total, not one new cheque
The $30 million figure is a cumulative tracker total, not a single new donation on 30 October.
Federal Election Commission filings processed so far show Jeff Yass giving V-PAC $20 million in three cheques: $10 million in March 2025 and $5 million each in January and March 2026.
Other reporting of the tracker total describes four payments since March 2025, the latest a $10 million cheque in August, reaching $30 million.
The difference reflects what the tracker counts versus the FEC filings processed to date; all figures are rounded, and FEC disclosures are self-reported by committees and can be amended.
Readers should not read the 30 October reports as a fresh $30 million payment.
Who else funds V-PAC
V-PAC reported raising about $60 million and holding about $12 million in cash on hand as of 30 September.
Other donors named in the reporting include Ross Stevens ($6 million), Ratmir Timashev ($5 million), Elon Musk ($5 million) and Bill Ackman ($1 million).
Ramaswamy’s campaign and allied groups have spent more than $120 million on advertising, according to the Brennan Center for Justice, far more than the spending reported for his Democratic opponent’s side.

The Ohio race
Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate, is the Republican nominee for Ohio governor.
His Democratic opponent is Amy Acton, a former Ohio health director.
Yass, co-founder of trading firm Susquehanna International Group and a longtime school-voucher advocate, has had his Ohio spending linked by a spokesperson to Ramaswamy’s push for universal school choice.
Super PACs may raise and spend unlimited sums provided they do not coordinate with a candidate; nothing in the reported figures alleges illegal giving.
The Yasses in the 2026 money race
The Yasses are the third-largest donors of the 2026 election cycle at about $110 million in total, behind Elon Musk and shipping magnates Elizabeth and Richard Uihlein, according to the tracker, which is based on FEC data as of 23 October.
Beyond V-PAC, they gave about $18 million to the School Freedom Fund, about $17 million to Club for Growth Action, about $16 million to MAGA Inc., the main pro-Trump super PAC, and about $13 million to Protect Freedom PAC, which backs Senator Rand Paul.
What happens next
Ohio votes on 3 November.
The tracker figures will move again when later FEC filings are processed, so the $30 million total should be read as the tracker’s position at the end of October, not a final tally.
